Pain and Longing

Everyone has felt this way at one point or another. I was dwealing on my own pain and longing, and this came to the paper

The pain I feel,
Doesn’t seem real,
It seems this time,
My heart is a mime,
Pantomiming what should be,
If it could only see,
What is in front of the World,
What has been hurled,
To show it the way through pain,
Even though it has been slain.

The longing I feel,
Doesn’t seem real,
For the person in my heart,
Even from the start,
The flag has been shown,
The cars merely on loan,
As I don’t know what to say,
At the start of the day,
The way for you to see,
Through to the real me.

The pain and longing I feel,
Just doesn’t seem real,
Why must I always be in pain,
Even when I have lain,
With my heart open for all to see,
The real me?
